Michael Penz received the IEEE Austria Section student mobility and conference grant to present his work on the implementation of new consumer model in RAPSim to allow homemanagement system integration presented at the IEEE IECON18 in Washington DC. Read his short report about his experience:

"Attending the IEEE IECON18 in Washington DC and presenting my paper was an awesome experience. It was a great possibility to get to know the newest technologies and many new ideas on various topics. The conference enabled to get in touch with people all over the world with the same motivation, which is to share knowledge and to spread new technological approaches. The participation in the conference gave me a big benefit to my personal experience and allowed to establish important contacts to likeminded people and to connect to existing networks of technicians. It also advanced my personal education as it helped to increase my knowledge as well as my communication skills. Based on the experiences I have made there, I would recommend anyone to attend an IEEE conference."

Also use your chance and apply. More information on the awards directly on the section homepage at www.ieee-austria.org.
